3. Al-Ghārimīn (Those in debt)
4. Fī Sabīlillāh (In the path of Allah)
5. Al-‘Āmilīn ‘alayhā (Those appointed to collect and manage Zakat)
6. Al-Mu’allafāti Qulūbuhum (New Muslims and those whose hearts are to be inclined)
7. Ibn al-Sabīl (Travellers in need)

Our Zakat Reserve
Our Zakat Reserve
SEF also has a designated reserve for Zakat funds. We do not seek to exhaust all Zakat collections immediately. Instead, a portion is retained in trust to ensure we are able to provide timely and appropriate support whenever a qualifying individual from one of the Asnaf categories approaches us for assistance. This approach allows us to uphold our responsibility to serve the community sustainably and with foresight.
As the first and only registered Islamic charity in the UK dedicated to the Nusantara Muslim community, SEF regards the safeguarding of Islamic knowledge as a vital communal need that falls within the remit of Fī Sabīlillāh and is thus a valid recipient of Zakat.
